Llungen Lures Catches Musky Anglers with Release of the Chad Shad Crankbait

Llungen Lures, manufacturer and distributor of quality musky and pike fishing lures from Southern Illinois, has recently been teasing musky anglers on social media with previews of new releases for the 2017 season.

I had to look further into this and dig a bit deeper for information.

I recently exchanged messages with Llungen managing partner, Chris Piha, who kindly reveals and exposes the latest and greatest product introduction in musky fishing lures.

Adding to its Smokin’ Bones Crankbait lineup, Llungen Lures has announced the new release of the Chad Shad, the trolling bait that started it all and led to the 2015 acquisition of Chad Harmon’s Smokin’ Bones Crankbaits. The Chad Shad will be made available for the first time at the Muskie Expo Chicago, January 6-8, 2017 at Pheasant Run Resort located in St. Charles, IL.

“The Chad Shad, originally designed by Chad Harmon, leverages a tight action while offering a moderate dive curb. Known for catching BIG musky or pike on the troll or cast, the Chad Shad’s unique one-of-a-kind rattle seems to call in the largest fish in the system,” he says.

The Chad Shad is the second of three award winning Smokin’ Bones musky and pike crankbaits that Llungen Lures has brought to the market since its crankbait acquisition from Harmon.

Since the phase-1 release of the .22 Shorts in January 2016, Smokin’ Bones Crankbaits, with a unique wander and extensive color options, have been among the hottest trolling plugs in musky fishing.

The Chad Shad comes stock with VMC 3X- extra strong treble hooks which are forged from the finest high-carbon steel and built for maximum strength and sharpness. Its dimensions measures 4 3/4” inches long and is 6 inches with lip, erratic to catch more fish and trigger big fish to hit.

In addition to the release of the Chad Shad, Llungen will be offering the usual sport show customs in bucktails and blades, plus a few crankbait customs that includes one of the best little cisco patterned trolling baits I hope to get my hands on for next summer; The North Shore Cisco.

And don’t forget the awesomely designed new apparel and comfortable headwear. There will be lots of that sold at the show too.

Can’t make the shows? Don’t worry, the Llungen family always sets aside a small amount of customs for Llungen fans who can’t make it, available online.

Llungen Lures and the materials used to manufacture them are all made in the U.S.A. Anglers seeking custom color combinations that aren’t showcased on the website are encouraged to contact Llungen for special orders and custom product requests.

“We want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support! As we roll into the Winter season we hope that everyone has a wonderful holiday season with family and friends. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need anything at all,” warmly concludes Llungen partners, Chris and Cari Piha, and Matthew Gunkel.
