Impressions: When I first purchased this
line, I couldn't believe that I spent my money on
it. It was stiff, and it was an orange color, unlike
other 100% fluorocarbon lines I have purchased in
the past.

On the water uses
(casting, durability, and presentation)
Seaguar’s Carbon Pro was the first 100% fluorocarbon
fishing line suitable for main line fishing. The
first time when I fished it, there was a lot of
memory compared to co-polymer lines I used to use on
my baitcasters. Backlashes, however were not an
issue. My casting distance improved with the Seaguar,
thanks to its low diameter, and hard surface.
Compared to monofilament, this line is a premium
line. In tests, with the same 1/4th ounce
spinnerbait tied on, the Seaguar outperformed the
Trilene XL, and P-Line Fluoroclear by at least
twenty feet in the distance category.
With a small diameter, this line is surprisingly
abrasion resistant. It is also rated below its
breaking point. In most cases this is an advantage,
but if you are fishing for a line class record, your
record may be disallowed. This line lasts long
compared to other fluorocarbon or hybrid lines. I
had a spool on a particular reel, and changed it
after a year of abuse.
Seaguar’s Carbon pro is invisible under water thanks
to a non reflective core. It will actually outfish
any 12lb monofilament, because fish can not see it.
This line has little stretch, and sinks quicker than
other lines. I have two set-ups for this line. The
Team Daiwa S is used for the lures under 1/4th of an
ounce, while the Quantum Accurist handles lures from
1/4th ounce to 5/8th of an ounce.

Extra Features (Knot Strength &
Visibility)
The knot strength is great with this line,
especially with knots such as the duncan loop.
Before you clinch down on the knot, it is important
to moisten it with saliva or else the line will get
weaker because the line is not lubricated, and the
line will loose its strength.
This fluorocarbon line is invisible underwater,
which is good for any fishing condition because it
is hard to see underwater. It is good for hard
fishing conditions. It works in clear, murky, and
stained waters. Monofilament line is 40% more
visible than fluorocarbon, making flurorocarbon a
much better line to use in ultra clear waters.

Seaguar Carbon Pro 100% fluorocarbon (0/5)
Construction & Quality: there is a hard
abrasive resistant coating, and it does not loose
strength over time 5/5
On The Water Uses: This line displays what
Fluorocarbon should be, invisible, strong, stretch
free, and abrasion resistant. The casting is
effortless, it has a small diameter, and good
sensitivity. 5/5
Presentation: Great line for sinking baits or
tough conditions. But you cannot fish topwater baits
successfully. 4/5
Rated against similar products: Seaguar
simply blows all other fluorocarbon lines away.
5/5
Price:Nearly triple the price of
monofilaments - This is one expensive line. 2/5
