“The U.S. Supreme Court refused today to order the immediate closing of shipping locks in the Chicago area to prevent invasive Asian carp from infesting the Great Lakes.


The court refused a request by the state of Michigan to issue a preliminary injunction that would order the locks closed.”

Think about it though…if we returned the flow of the Chicago River back out to Lake Michigan (rather than through the shipping canal and through the state of Illinois), we could have a Chicago River Fall Salmon run!
