It is my first such attempt to digitally capture my fishing adventures with the Mafia via video. I’m sort of figuring out how to edit, add music, and do other stuff with the raw stuff.

Leave it to Illinois to poison Lake Michigan with Asian Carp. I believe it to be inevitable – the carp will find their way to Lake Michigan sooner or later. Good bye Salmon industry, hello asian carp industry.

CHICAGO – The DNA of Asian carp has been found in Lake Michigan for the first time, researchers said today, igniting a new round of calls for urgent action and renewed criticism of Illinois and the federal government for allowing the voracious carp to migrate up the state’s waterways.

CHICAGO — Genetic material from the Asian carp, a voracious invasive species long feared to be nearing the Great Lakes, has been identified for the first time at a harbor within Lake Michigan, near the Illinois-Indiana border, ecologists and federal officials said Tuesday.
