Well ladies and gents, for those of your who haven’t heard yet, the king run is on. It is a very early start to this season. In addition to it beginning sooner, I have seen a lot of big fish caught this year. Heck, I’ve pulled out 5 this year that have been in the 17-20 lb range :)

Now, this is a limited time window for most shore anglers to get on some big fish…

Arm yourselves with the right gear, and keep casting. You’ll get em. Here is a fall running King I plucked off this morning on a green/chrome KO wobbler.

I will most likely be at it again tomorrow. I kindly offered a seat in my car to a Mr. R, but he passed. Kid, you gotta get your priorities straight. It’s KING SEASON

Very nice King. From the text, are you implying it was caught shore fishing? If so, from where, Waugegan? I don’t have a boat, so am looking to try for salmon from shore this Fall. Lincoln Park is way too crowded, but Waukegan and Northpoint seem to offer good shore fishing with less crowds. Would you agree?
