Hello, and welcome to the "for-fun-only" guide service of

fishing-headquarters.com. My name is Andrew Ragas and I have been a fisherman my whole life, born and raised along the rivers of northern Illinois, and along the thousands of lakes in northern Wisconsin. When it comes to fishing, my goal is to catch fish, and to have fun doing it.

I am a multi-species angler and fishing addict who seriously wets the line for anything that swims for roughly 150 days per season, from March through early December. My main targets are Largemouth & Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Northern Pike, Musky, Common Carp, and Crappie.

I welcome anglers (friends and website members only) of all skill levels to join me on these strictly "for-fun" fishing adventures as we search for anything that swims and has fins!

Andrew will educate you on the following aspects of fishing:

  • Fish locations, seasonal movements and boat positioning.

  • How to read a river and current and structure to look for (when river fishing).

  • Some of the best fishing techniques and lure presentations.

  • Proper catch & release methods.

  • How to fish the "right way" when on the water.

  • Proper use of equipment.

  • How to read weather patterns.

What the guide service provides:

  • Furnished, & Customized 15ft Lund and 12ft boats with motor (Wisconsin Trips).

  • Garmin & Humminbird electronics.

  • Rods and Reels (If necessary).

  • Waders (for river fishing).

  • Life Jackets.

  • Loads of new fishing knowledge.

  • Fish photos from your day on the water.

What you should bring:

  • A valid fishing license! (no license = no fishing)

  • Proper clothing for weather.

  • Your own tackle (optional, but encouraged)

  • Rain Gear.

  • Lunch, snacks, beverages, sun-screen, etc.

  • Camera (Optional)

Further guide service information:

  • This service is for the "client" & Fisher-friend to gain knowledge and first-hand experience.

  • All river outings will feature wading (walking in the middle of a shallow river)  We wet-wade if water is clean-enough!

  • Specializing in Musky, Northern Pike, Largemouth & Smallmouth Bass, Walleye and Panfish. If no Musky caught during outing, you will be rewarded a free half-day trip.
