Freedom Lures Live Action Hybrid Jigs

Making a successful debut at the 2012 iCast show and garnering the attention of renown anglers including Gordon Pyzer and Al Lindner, Freedom Tackle Corp has revolutionized the way anglers fish with jigs. For many of us, today’s jigs are nothing more than a lead weight molded onto a hook. Unlike these conventional jigs, Freedom Tackle’s “Live Action Hybrid Jigs” offer the jig presentation complete freedom the second your jig hits the bottom and works its way to catching fish.

Freedom Tackle’s objective is to produce the ultimate line of fishing lures that incorporates fundamental, traditional fishing tactics with state of the art technology.

Anglers may question what’s so special about Freedom Tackle jigs. First and foremost they swing, they dance, they liven the entire presentation, and pop nice fish. Owners and designers, Nick and Michael Tamburro, of Toronto, Ontario, have ingeniously developed a specialized, patent pending curved screw attachment that allows anglers to change out hooks and baits without having to retie the jig head.

This rigging concept is universal, advanced interchangeable with all hook types, and one that has never before been tested by any other industry brands. The “Tamburro Twist” (screw lock design) allows you to quickly and easily change from the generic factory hook to an entirely different one. Since the design allows you to screw the hook’s eye onto the jig head, it’s not permanently locked down to the lure. Few may question this rigging system but rest assured it’s secure and fail-proof.

A few other tackle companies employ this similar concept, but where Freedom Tackle has the advantage over the competition is in the brass echo chamber which is housed into each head of the jig. This increases the rate of fall, improves sound and vibration in environments where fish rely on their lateral line, and allows for livelier more powerful jigging action.

Advantages of Freedom Lures

  • Natural, unrestricted jigging action with live or artificial baits.
  • Non-affixed hook provides increased hook setting power.
  • Fish won’t throw hooks because they can’t use the jig head for leverage.
  • Pre-bait your favorite hooks for instant change-up. Less tying, more hooking.
  • Tailor your jig to each species of fish and all fishing conditions.

Available in Four Models

Freedom Tackle offers four different jig types: The Hydra swimbait jig; Rogue football jig; Stealth swim jig; and Zodiac ball head. Each Live Action Hybrid Jig package comes with two jig heads and two premium black-nickel chemically sharpened hooks that are mass produced in China. Despite these generic hooks which are sharp in their own right, many multi-species anglers will agree there is an appeal to having the option of customizing the jig with any preferred hook brand with accompanying bait for any particular species of fish.

While observing the jig heads, you will notice the high quality finish of the paint job (hardened epoxy) and detailed color schemes. This is most evident with the Hydra and Stealth jigs with their holographic finish and lifelike eyes. All Freedom Tackle jigs are engineered to land in the optimal upright position so that fish can easily inhale your bait. The FHQ reviews are forthcoming this spring, and we hope fish inhale ours.

Freedom of movement, freedom of hook changing, and freedom of presentation and hook brand. Throughout the 2013 season, Fishing-Headquarters will be reviewing and showcasing the jigs by Freedom Tackle Corp. It is our pleasure to introduce this fantastic company south of the border to our primary Upper Midwest audience here in the United States.

Freedom Lures are available for sale from online retailers such as Tackle Warehouse, Big Rock Sports, KTL Canada, and JB’s Fishing Depot.
