Ice Trout Rodeo Video

Below is the official video we made from our website outing on Sunday, February 21st.We fished in the Racine, Wisconsin area for Brown Trout and Steelheads.

The fishing might have been way off on this day, we still had fun trying and we filmed enough material to make an entertaining video.

Besides this video, we have some noteworthy catches worth sharing.

Less than one week after our unsuccessful Ice Trout Rodeo, Mike Planthaber and a much smaller crew of ours made a return trip to the Southeast Wisconsin harbors in search of Brown Trout and Steelheads. This weekend’s fishing proved to be worthwhile for them, especially for Jeff Butler, who is holding this 10-pound fish seen below. Slammers and jigging with spawn sacks are still the baits of choice.

ALSO – Below, we gotta showcase this fine catch from young Robert and his dad, ‘Special Ed” Schmitt for this first-ever Trout through the ice. It was all Robert on this one!
