After Class Bass with Bryan Blazek.

Meet the studious angler, Bryan Blazek.

Bryan Blazek, an avid Bass fisherman and student of fishing, joins the FHQ.com Writers Network with his very own blog. Bryan tells us a little bit about himself:

Every day on the water is a learning experience. I fish to gain insight into the behavior and seasonal patterns of the predatory fish- primarily in the Northern Illinois region.

As a child, I grew up fishing, as many of us have, but have realized as of the past few years that fishing is more than just a hobby for me, it’s a driving force that takes over countless hours of thought, preparation, daydreaming, and execution. Every day I have on the water is a privilege; to explore, to learn, to see, to meditate, to hold, to smell, to touch, and to feel.  Nature holds surprises in every day and every habitat, and that is what drives me to put in my time on the water.

Mostly you will catch me jigging for bass is some local ponds, or looking for some action on my beloved local holes on the Fox River, near Aurora. Regardless of where the action is, good catch and release tactics are employed to Catch Photograph Release 99.9% of fish landed by myself.

I’m hoping that if anyone takes anything from this blog, it will be a respect of our natural environment, and a duty to protect our fragile resources. Thanks for reading!
